Inducer Selection and Application

The design and application of inducers is not widely understood outside the turbomachinery design community. Inducers are not a panacea for all low Net Positive Suction Head challenges, but they serve a valuable purpose when properly applied. The goal of this workshop is to provide an overview of Net Positive Suction Head (NPSH) fundamentals, Suction Specific Speed and the associated factors that must be considered to successfully apply an inducer. Attendees will have a clear understanding of the system application problems that can be successfully addressed with inducers and those applications that may require a different solution.
