The program is a full-time, one-year postgraduate course in Piping Engineering and Design delivered online. It covers piping technology, materials, equipment, and CAD drafting. Students learn through problem-based learning, aiming to fill industry gaps in this discipline.
The program provides a comprehensive curriculum for postgraduate students interested in piping engineering, emphasizing problem-based learning. It spans over one year, offering 60 ECTS credits through thirteen modules. Topics include pipe components, materials, CAD drafting, plot planning, and stress analysis, with a significant focus on real-world applications. The course culminates in a final project, consolidating the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the program. This training prepares graduates for specialized roles in energy and petrochemical industries.
The course was very broad and tested all disciplines that are necessary for a project engineer to properly understand and implement the basics of a total project. The instructors' assignments are very focused and really require that you can demonstrate that you have understood the course material well. During the feedback moments they also take time to share their own experiences and pitfalls, from which I have learned a lot for the future.
This course was a good experience for me, it gave me a strong foundation in piping engineering. Models, materials and the project gave me what I expected to get in the real work. The instructors are very cooperative and available to answer our queries in the video conferences and the forum. Another thing to be mentioned is the team working, it is very beneficial, it helps to exchange experience and to get the work more efficiently since we need to manage our time between working and studying.
The course was interesting and provided the basics, tips and tools for designing pipe lines. Recommended for young professionals who are gonging to enter in piping design.
