He has worked for 20 years on large EPC Projects and held various positions in Project Management, Project Control, Contract Management and Engineering Management mainly with Saipem and Technip. Hervé specialized in Engineering and is the author of "The Oil & Gas Engineering Guide", Éditions Technip. Hervé regularly conducts training and delivers lectures on Engineering.

Barreda, Almudena

Almudena studied Mechanical Inductrial Engineering. Additionally she has a postgrade in Laboral Risk Prevention. She started working in 2005 in a small engineering company in the building construction business. Currently she is working as lead rotating equipment engineer at Initec, a Tecnicas Reunidas Group Company. She started as a Junior Rotating Engineer in 2007 and passed the last nine years preparing tecnical documentation to inquire, tabulate and purchase rotating equipment, providing technical support to clients and suppliers and solving technical deviations from the purchase order to the equipment delivery. She is very familiar with API and other machinery codes and standards for the O&G sector.

Frank Bittorf worked as Merchandiser in Hong Kong, before starting his studies of Business and Engineering (Dipl. Wirtschaftsingenieur FH) at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen and semester at the University of Hong Kong, where he also made an internship at the German Industry and Commerce Ltd. After finishing his Diploma in 2005 he worked in various positions for the MTI Silicone subsidiary Leewood in Bremen. Accompanying restructuring projects, factory layout planning and change, before he took over the position as sales manager for Aviation and Industrial Silicone. He joined LISEGA by end of 2007 and since then he´s the responsible Area Manager for the region of Spain and Portugal, as well as South America. Amongst the responsibility for the strategic development of these regions, he´s assisting the local exclusive representatives with technical requests and conducts also on site product inspections and services.

Alberto was born in 1961 in Milan. He studied civil engineering at the Polytechnic of Milan where he was graduated in 1986. He started his work as Technical Engineer in steel works fabrication and he has now over than 25 years experience in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industries. From 1991 to 2003 he worked as Engineering Manager at Foster Wheeler Italiana in Fired Heaters and Boilers Division and since 2004 is working for Garo S.p.A. specialized in Liquid Ring Compressor Systems and appointed as Area Manager after a few years of experience as Technical Director and Project Manager. His main technical background include steelwork and pressure parts calculation and pipe stress analysis.

Bradshaw, Simon

His responsibilities include the design and development of pump hydraulics, global engineering responsibility for the company test facilities and scoping of new technology for use in future product developments. Prior to joining ITT Goulds, he worked for both Sulzer Pumps and Weir Pumps, where he held various positions of engineering and contractual responsibility. Additionally he has supported the Hydraulic Institute in the development of pump standards and best practice guides. He  has accumulated 29 years in the pump industry.  He attributes this to having never exhausted the fun inherent in moving fluid between two improbable locations. Mr. Bradshaw has a BEng (Hons) degree (Mechanical Engineering) from Heriot Watt University. He is a registered Chartered Engineer in the UK, a member of the Institute of Engineering Designers and a member of TEES Pump Symposium Advisory Committee.

Cameron, Richard

Richard Cameron studied Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. He held a position in a medical research company for a short time after leaving university before joining an oil major as an Operations Process Engineer on an oil refinery in the UK. Approximately 8 years ago he joined Howden Compressors as a Proposals Engineer. He now holds the position of Lead Proposals Engineer in Howden and has the responsibility of providing process design consultation to all departments within Howden Compressors. As the company primarily employs mechanical & electrical engineers, he spends a lot of my time training non-process engineers on the process design of packages, which is a key aspect to consider for rotating equipment

He has been Director of the Distributed Generation Business Unit in Siemens Spain and currently holds a global position in Siemens as Hub Sales Manager for Distributed Geneneration in Europe & CIS

Rotating Machinery Manager at Repsol His group is responsible for the specification, selection testing, installation, commissioning and start-up of all the rotating equipment for REPSOL investment projects in refineries, chemical and gas plants, pipelines and upstream production facilities. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting rotating machinery, the promotion of new technologies throughout the company, reliability engineering, and writing company machinery standards. Prior to joining REPSOL in 1998, Mr Fernández worked for 6 years at FLUOR as a rotating machinery engineer in several projects for DuPont, ICI and UCC. Mr. Fernández holds a M.S. degree (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Oviedo, Spain. He is a member of the API Sub-committee of Mechanical Equipment, and Chairman of the ISO TC118 SC1 (Process compressors); he is past-member of the Advisory Committee for the Pump Symposium organized by the Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, USA. During a restructuring of the sales organization in 2004 developed to be responsible for strategic Product and Market management for all customers allocated to the branch Basic Chemicals globally. After four years working in this strategic position became responsible for the Business Unit Process Systems in Itzehoe in 2008, offering, engineering, producing and servicing the vacuum-, compressor-, and membrane systems for the global market. Gustau Garcia has a Bsc in mechanical engineering and a Msc of piping and plant design. Since he started to work in 1998, he has collaborated in many projects and he achieved experience in many fields related to the plant design such as a water hammer analysis, stress analysis, pressure vessel and heat exchangers design. He has a patent of a bench machine for casing collapse tests (1700bar). Nowadays, he is working as a technical director in an engineering company. Now he is introducing the 3D laser scan as a new tool for as-built or for revamping plants.

José Gilarranz joined Dresser-Rand in 2002 and is currently the Manager for Technology Development & Commercialization of the DATUM ICS & Subsea Compression Product lines where serves as the main technical/commercial contact between Dresser-Rand and its clients in the area of compact compression systems. Previously, Dr. Gilarranz was a Senior Aero/Thermo Engineer at D-R. Prior to joining Dresser-Rand, he worked as a Rotating Equipment Engineer for Lagoven S. A. in Maracaibo. Dr. Gilarranz received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (1993) from the Universidad Simón Bolívar and a M.S. (1998) and Ph.D. (2001) in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University. Maceyka, Tom

Thomas Maceyka has over thirty five years of rotating equipment experience focused on centrifugal pumps and compressors. He has participated on API 617 (Centrifugal Compressors) and API 682 (Seals) Task Forces, and is a current member of the API 610 (Centrifugal Pumps) 12 th Edition Task Force. During his career, he has held positions Engineering, Product Management, and Product Development with increasing levels of responsibility. Currently, Mr. Maceyka is a Senior Technical Specialist with Weir Specialty Pumps, and working with end users to improve plant reliability by replacing unreliable high-speed pumps with Pitot Tube pump technology for low-flow high-head services.

Currently work as piping leader for EPC projects in one of the most important engineering companies in Spain, Tecnicas Reunidas. Additionally she has carried out projects in areas such as, noise and vibration control, occupational noise, development of noise maps and dynamic analysis of piping system. She was a research assistant at Simon Bolivar University (USB) in Venezuela, conducting activities in the areas of noise and vibration control and study of nonlinearities produced by the friction on piping system. She has various scientific publications in international congress and papers, such as, ASME.

Post, Mark

Mark Post began his career in the early 1980s developing and supporting shipboard machinery for the US Navy at the Naval Sea Systems Command. He developed a passion for pump design at NAVSEA, which he ultimately put to good use as the head of the Command’s pump branch. Mark came to Carver Pump in 1992 and became the Chief Operations Officer in 1999. Building on a tradition of practical pump engineering at Carver Pump, Mark established a program of continuous product development using a comprehensive test facility and the most advanced Solid Modeling, FEA and CFD tools available. This program has resulted in a broad range of world class centrifugal pumps for Marine, Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Industrial applications. Mark earned an MBA from the University of Iowa and a BS in engineering from Michigan State University. He also enjoyed extensive engineering graduate studies at George Washington University and the University of Maryland. Mark married Chris, his high school sweetheart, shortly after joining NAVSEA. They currently live in Muscatine, IA where they raised their two children, Katie and Stephen.

Angel Rodríguez is Mechanical Industrial Engineer, and Material Engineer. Currently, he is working as lead piping engineer at an integrated solar combined cycle power plant in Kingdom Saudi Arabia. He started his work as N.D.T. inspector in nuclear power plants in 2000, and in 2004 he started working as junior pipe support and stress analysis engineer. By the past 12 years, he has developed his experiences and knowledge in all piping jobs, mainly as pipe support engineer, and providing technical support to power plants. He is familiar with piping codes, standards and software. Angel knows about all type of power plants and the most common problems that can happen in their pipe line systems.

Rubio Martínez, Ana

Ana has a MSc in Chemical Engineering and is a specialist in Hazardous Atmospheres IEC60079 (certified by Bureau Veritas). She started her job as a junior design engineer in 2008 and since 2010 she is working as a safety design engineer for power plants. In addition to that, she has worked as a design engineering leader for several bids for the past five years, preparing technichal documentación such layouts, plot plants or plant description. Since 2011, she has contributed to develop and improve engineering work procedures in a 3D environment in the company where she works.

Sihra, Inderpal

Inderpal graduated from Imperial College London in 2009 having completed a Masters in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating, he joined Keeler and started working as a mechanical design engineer within the medical and ophthalmic instrument industry. Shortly after, he joined John Crane as a product development engineer and begun working on Gas Seal technology. He was involved in the development of new Aura range of John Crane Gas Seals. In 2014, he became team leader of Gas Seal Product Standards and has been leading a team to develop a narrower cross section of Gas Seal for the retrofit market.

He has held various positions in the area of sales, after-sales, marketing, business development and product development at Deere & Co. at different locations in North- & Latin-America and Germany. The following 10 years he led the sales efforts of Liebherr / construction machinery as Country Head for Spain and Portugal. He joined VICODA back in 2014 as Director Sales & Marketing and is responsible of the strategic layout and implementation of the growth plans in order to ensure a global footprint. VICODA does not only design, produce and install components for vibration control such as spring isolation devices, viscoelastic dampers or tuned mass dampers; Moreover VICODA is an engineering consultancy company that can help design engineers in the plant design process eliminate potential vibration problems while lowering plant build up expenses.

Teijeiro, Beatriz

Beatriz Teijeiro is Lead Rotating Engineer currently working as part of a Spanish EPC contractor in a gas project for a Saudi Company. She graduated from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), where she received her MEng in Chemical Engineering in 2006. Beatriz holds 10 years of experience as Rotating Engineer in Spanish EPC contractor. Her expertise is on rotating equipment such as pumps, compressor and gas turbines mainly. Throughout her career she has been involved in bidding and management of various projects with different oil and gas international companies both for onshore and offshore sites. She has also been part of the commissioning team for the Cartagena Refinery Expansion C10 which provided her a breath of experience.

Senior Mechanical Engineer and Master in Business Administration (MBA). More than 17 years of experience in design, calculation and fabrication of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, piping systems and structures in general. Duties of the above mentioned positions cover the entire cycle of an equipment, from the very conception, drawings, design and calculation, technical specifications, technical requisitions, vendor drawings, to the manufacturing phase and installation assistance. Vast experience providing specific training sessions in both classroom and online approaches. Prior to joining BRG, he worked for 10 years at DuPont as a Mechanical Consultant, primarily solving machinery problems and developing advanced measurement techniques. Dr. Vazquez received his B.S. (Mechanical Engineering, 1990) and MS (Specialization in Rotating Equipment, 1993) from the Universidad Simon Bolivar in Venezuela. He received his Ph.D. (Mechanical and Aerospace Eng., 1999) from the University of Virginia. He is a member of ASME.

Zabala, Lorenzo

Lorenzo Zabala is a Project Development Manager at EagleBurgmann. He has over 16 years working with mechanical seals and systems design, applications and Project Sales. Lorenzo has worked for EagleBurgmann in Venezuela, Middle East, and currently is working for the International Project team located in Wolfratshausen Germany.  Lorenzo Zabala graduated as Mechanical Engineer from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 1999.
